Wineries are popping up all over the country. Just as the craft beer industry has exploded, so has the craft wine industry. Jacksonville may not provide many wineries, but those found nearby are quite exquisite. Here’s a look at the top wineries found near Jacksonville, Florida.
San Sebastian Winery – 50 minutes – 157 King Street, St. Augustine, FL
San Sebastian Winery isn’t the closest to Jacksonville, as E & J Gallo Winery is closer, but it’s the best choices within a short drive. The winery is found in St. Augustine, Florida and was founded in 1996. It’s located in one of the old East Cost Railway buildings from Henry Flagler in the historic downtown area.
The winery features many award winning wines with a mixture of sparkling, dessert and table wines from muscadine grapes. Many hybrid wines are also found from San Sebastian Winery, along with several still wines.
The vineyard covers about 80 acres of land and is known as the Lakeridge Winery & Vineyards in Clermont, Florida. San Sebastian Winery also owns 450 acres in the panhandle with many growers operating here, as well. The grapes produced include Suwannee, Stover and Blanc Du Bouis. They also grow a bronze Carlos, red Noble and a Welder Muscadine grape for their wines.
You can enjoy tours and tastings at the San Sebastian Winery any day of the week. Tours and tastings run about every 20 to 25 minutes with a length of about 45 minutes. They are held from 10am to 6pm, Monday through Saturday and from 11am to 6pm on Sundays.

Vino Del Grotto Winery – 50 minutes – 35 Hypolita Street, St. Augustine, FL
Another winery found less than an hour from Jacksonville, Florida is the Vino Del Grotto Winery. It’s also located in St. Augustine, Florida. The winery is known for providing Florida Tropical Fruit Wines and Infused Wines. They also provide olive oils and balsamics.

Bluefield Estate Winery – 75 minutes – 22 County Road 234, Gainesville, FL 32641
Found a little further from Jacksonville, the Bluefield Estate Winery is a great choice for a visit. This family owned winery provides a great place to enjoy a tasting or pick up a few bottles to take home. The winery was opened in 2006 and has grown every year since.
Bluefield Estate specializes in muscadine grape and blueberry wines. They infuse the wines with fruits, such as green apple, blackberry, pomegranate, raspberry and many others. You can visit the tasting room from 11am to 5pm on Thursday and Friday or from 12pm to 6pm on Saturday and Sunday.

Log Cabin Winery – 75 minutes – 376 County Road 309, Satsuma, FL
The Log Cabin Farm, Vineyard & Winery is found in Putnam County near the historic St. John’s River. It was established over 75 years ago as a farm and became a vineyard and winery about 20 years ago. About 10 acres of the property grow Blanc du Bouis and Muscadine grapes for the wines.
You can stop in for a tour of the vineyard and winery from 11am to 5pm, Wednesday through Friday, from 10am to 5pm on Saturday or from 12pm to 5pm on Sundays.

Tangled Oaks Vineyard – 75 minutes – 1317 FL-100, Grandin, FL
The Tangled Oaks Vineyard and Winery was started in 2003 after the owner visited Italy with his family. The winery has grown quite a bit and has been passed down to the next generation within the family. They use Florida Muscadine grapes to create many of the wines including the Red River Oak Port.

The Royal Manor Winery has won many awards for their wines over the years. They specialize in designer fruit and mead wines with choices such as the Spiced Mead, Royal Blush and Sir Carlos. You can visit the winery from 11am to 6pm, Tuesday through Saturday to enjoy a tasting.
