Ponte Vedra Beach (click to see Ponte Vedra Beach real estate listings) is the southernmost of the beaches communities, just south of Jacksonville Beach (beyond Neptune Beach and Atlantic Beach) on A1A. An unincorporated community, the seaside city is situationally east of the Intracoastal Waterway, along the Atlantic shores, 
some 25 miles north of St. Augustine. Part of the greater Ponte Vedra area, some 36,000 people call PVB, along with surrounding sub-communities South Ponte Vedra, Palm Valley, and newly master-planned Nocatee, home. Most of the beaches have limited public access, with the exception of Mickler’s Landing park and the Guana Tolomato Matanzas Reserve. Most evident in the community, above 
all, is sports in the name of golf. PVB is home to THE PLAYERS Championship and the PGA Tour at Sawgrass, and several golf and country clubs.
The area is shopping and businesses galore; shopping strips line the west side of main road A1A for miles, with banks, groceries, restaurants, and every possible daily service one could need. All entail a marked dining aspect, which invite the nightlife in the same, most notably the popular Shoppes of Veranda plaza with its Pussers Caribbean Grille and Ruth’s Chris Steak House. Down the road, enjoy live music, upscale bars, and new-age eats, as well as fresh catch at local favorites on the water. Entertainment is easygoing and convenient here. The newly renovated Ponte Vedra Concert Hall is the latest live music venue, with continuous classic musical artists. The Cultural Center at PVB is the place to create and experience the arts, with workshops, exhibitions, and other happenings.
